How to get to VDM

You can reach us at Haus Mendelssohn by underground or bus:

  • Underground line U6 to Französische Straße
  • Underground line U2 to Hausvogteiplatz
  • From the central station: Bus number 147 to Werderscher Markt

Jägerstraße 51 is a five minute walk from both underground stations and the bus stop. Please note that Jägerstraße continues on both sides of the Gendarmenmarkt square.

Since 1 January 2008 you require an environment sticker for your vehicle in Berlin.
Only vehicles displaying a particular low-emission sticker may enter the city centre. In Berlin, the area within the suburban railway ring (“S-Bahn-Ring”) is the environmental zone (also known as low emission zone in other countries).
This area is marked by special road signs (“UMWELTZONE”) which are positioned at all zone entry points. Please note that Jägerstraße is located within this environmental zone. The exhibition centre, for example, is located outside the environmental zone.

In Germany, the environment stickers can be purchased at vehicle registration offices, authorized local garages or vehicle test organizations like TÜV and DEKRA.

It is also possible to park your car directly in front of the VDM office building. This is, however, very expensive: Parking fees are 3 € per hour. We have not rented own underground parking spaces.
